To Hugh, Bobby and Donnie.....your mom was an angel to watch...now she was strict with us kids on Lewis Ave. but she always had to suppress a smile as she turned away. She and my mom were friends and they would sit in our yard with their cigarettes and cokes and discuss the entire neighborhoods transactions. They were too cute. And that is how I shall remember your mom, with a smile and sharing good times with my mom. She is now resting in peace and has located my mom and your dad and they are smiling down on us. She had a lasting effect on my life. Much love, Patty

Mrs. Golden lived just a few houses away from us on Lewis Avenue on Tybee. She was a dear family friend to the Browns and I remember her with much love and respect. My deepest sympathies to her family.

My deepest sympathy to the Golden Boys and the entire Golden Family on the loss of your Mom. You should all be thankful for all the years that she was the matriarch of the Golden Clan. I know that she will be greatly missed. With much love, Allan

Nana, whom Paiton and I called Grandnana, was a special woman. She was out spoken and did not care what others thought of her. I respected her for that!! We created a bond when I would go visit her, at least once to twice a week while Paiton was in my belly. She loved the company and it gave her something to look forward too.She always told me," that I was the daughter she never had." When I would walk in she would say," Look what the cat drug in,Only if had been a little while. Never found it offensive even with her tone of voice. Because I always accepted her for who she was. I always thought it was funny because I was called Alley Cat long ago. She would have Paiton sit on her lap and tickle his underarms, kiss and love on him. She loved that she got to see him grow from my stomach into her arms. She always wondered, why I am still here. It must be for some reason. She and I both wanted to think it was so we could spend more time together having our great long talks!! Hence the daughter she never had, she would say. She and I shared a strength together. She loved to read, knit and talk. And she loved pictures and chocolate with out nuts. She always cared if we were happy. That says a lot about her!! And she saw in other's what they did not want to see. She has been ready for quite a while now. And now she can finally be happy and at peace..Nothing can bring her down now. She is finally were she wants to be!! Although, she will always be with us. Peace, truthfulness, respect, love and honesty. Love you forever Grandnana!! Ali Hoskins Golden and Paiton Pierce Golden
